making peace with snow

Today, I'm making peace with snow. I've spent a lot of time and energy focusing on my hatred of it, mostly because once you grow up and snow days no longer exist, snow just becomes a cold, wet, messy headache. And when your beloved husband works outside in the weather, you come to hate it even more. But I also have to remember those same delightful memories from my childhood when snow was a gift from the Gods, an instant playground, a cold and fantastic form of Play-doh and the world's best way to earn yourself a hot chocolate - because pretty soon, my family will be enjoying those kinds of days all over again with our wee one. So, as I embark upon my morning shovel, I would like to say: Snow, you're ok in my book...

Just stay off my driveway.
